Finally the day has come! My chickens finally laid some eggs!!! From the minute that they arrived UPS, I looked ahead to the day when they would lay an egg. No. we do not have any roosters; they are illegal in new york city for reasons that you can look up on that Internet yourself. Most people don't get it. Chickens will lay eggs every day. If you want babies the rooster has to come in and do his thing, with that they wont lay eggs every day but when they do cute little chicks will pop out. We are going to make a tortilla with homegrown potatoes and our eggs ( from a friend who grows them in upstate New York ). That's the beginning story of my chickens in Brooklyn, NY.
